Hyatt Mag Mile received a big refresh which included new feature art for the lobby, designed by Anderson Miller. One is a dimensional wall piece for the stairwell, which was our take on a topographical map of the Chicago shoreline. It was made of a laser cut MDF shoreline and stained wood blocks making up the city. They asked us to re-envision the dated chandelier in the lobby, which we accomplished by wrapping the existing framework in a bold blue fringe! It was completed by repurposing the beads from the original chandelier on the interior of the piece, creating an airy sculptural element.
